~ Coffee in Denver for Sadie and mid-week cocktails + coffee for Jason and Michael in KC. ~ This week was a tough one to decide as there were several surprise drink experiences with good service. I want to thank Kate at Parisi Coffee, Tyler at Quay Coffee, our bartender and server at The Farmhouse, and Michelle helping us out with our first event with Black Mesa Brewing Co. - Jason The Camerohead at Farmhouse in KCMO! Nothing says "I am in the beverage biz" more than a cocktail at lunch (on a Wednesday). Even though you might get a look or two it really does the trick and makes the food taste even better! I enjoyed this concoction (made with gin, chartreuse, a few other select ingredients and an orange garnish) with a melty-good three-cheese and caramelized fennel grilled sandwich! Local cheeses, local fennel and Made in KC bread too! The fennel paired oh so well with the gin (think herbal essence and charred veggies). The french fries did not suck either ... Nothing better than good drinks AND good foods together! A great way to spend a few minutes forgetting about the typical stresses of mid-week - Michael After picking up friends from the airport for a week of Colorado exploration, stopping by Corvus Coffee Roasters in Denver was a delicious start. Hopped cold brew on tap (and a bottle for later), house espresso double shot (an African origin blend) & a cascara latte with lemongrass left us sufficiently caffeinated, and we stopped by Boxcar Coffee and Piece, Love and Chocolate in Boulder before heading back to FoCo. - Sadie ~ Join the Conversation ~
