After a weekend of coffee, culture and cocktails in Houston, we're celebrating National Margarita Day with insights from one of KC's best bartenders and a Houston hotspot.
What we drank this week (and how we felt about it), in no particular order.
This was a big time Boulevard week for me for a variety of reasons. I had a Pale Ale with some of the country's best bbq at Bryant's, celebrated with a cellared bottle of Long Strange Tripel after co-hosting a benefit in KC, and enjoyed a sample pack with the crew of that benefit during rehersals a few nights earlier. Love that Mid-Coast IPA.
Other great local stops included Bier Station for a tasting of Michigan beers Bell's and New Holland, and a Friday night stop at Underdog Wine Co. for a terrific value wine, a bottle of 2012 Bodegas Castano "Solanera Vinas Viejas" Yecla.
