BeverageLife ~ KC Livin'
~ Sadie's extended trip back to KCMO started on a high note with team meets, great beer, and Caffeine Crawl KC ~
You know those little things that make "coming home" special? For me, it's an early morning sidecar from my sister, Savannah, at Kaldi's on Main Street. She has perfected the art of a pillowy cappuccino, and familiar faces framed by the busy hum of Main and 12th outside makes early morning emails a little more friendly.
Working long-distance makes team meetings a blast, and they're even better over small pours at Bier Station - Jolly Pumpkin and KC Bier Co with lunch.
Happy Hour at Beer Kitchen in Westport for Boulevard Brews in between Caffeine Crawl check-in's was delicious, as always.
Team lunch break at Grinders KC paired with Root Sellers Pedal Hard Ginger Beer and Row Hard Root Beer.
A peaceful moment of chance observation - two coffee cups left on a window sill at the beginnings of Messenger Coffee's new roasting space during our stop there on Caffeine Crawl KC. A reminder of life in forgotten places, and urged appreciation for the wonderful people behind KC's thriving coffee scene. A huge thank you to Kate Blackman at Parisi, the crew at Thou Mayest, Ian and Conrad at Blip, Mike and Ashtin at The Roasterie, Stacy Neff, Tyler of Hugo Tea, Nathan and the Second Best team, The Valverdes, Dee at Shang Tea, Alice and the gang at Crows Coffee, the Christopher Elbow and Andre's Chocolate teams, and the myriad of other passionate people involved with this weekend's events - you guys make KC magical, and we appreciate you all!
