Top Ten Tuesday ~ Beer & Coffee

~ Black Mesa launches in KC, & Sadie drinks a lot of coffee in Fort Collins.~ 

We had Monday through Friday beer launch events for Black Mesa in Kansas City. We covered the city and lifted glassware high in a toast many times. We kicked off at Tapcade on Monday, Tuesday was the local beer heaven, Bier Station, and Wednesday was a double header with Burg & Barrel and Thou Mayest where we celebrated the Royals big win to advance to the ALCS. - Jason & Michael

Finding new work spaces is the best - the cafe at Galvanize is serving up Boxcar Coffee & great work vibes. - Sadie

Of course the Black Mesa festivities continued on. Thursday we were at Martin City Brewing, and finished the big week with a huge crowd at The Well. A huge thanks to Black Mesa, Central States, and all the participating retailers. It was an awesome week! - Jason & Michael

An impromptu day trip to Denver included caffeinated goodness at Black Black Coffee, Thump, Huckleberry Roasters, Corvus & Copper Door Coffee Roasters. - Sadie

Bummed I'll be missing this big S'mores and Pours event with Camp Encourage this Friday, but I certainly enjoyed working on the punch for the event to serve 150. Dark Horse Distillery worked with us, and donated their Rider Vodka. Also, using a pomegranate liqueur, Apfelkorn, club soda, and grilled apples and clementines. - Jason

An Autumnal Marzen Equinox Brewing wound down a good work day in a cozy booth in the back. Love that place! - Sadie 

Another week we took part in live local sports. Last weekend it was a very memorable Royals game 2 win at Kauffman fueled by Havana Club rum and (Mexican) Cokes, and endless hot wings from The Peanut.

My break on shift at Harbinger this week meant soaking up the fall sunshine on the patio with Sweet Bloom Guatemala in my mug. Mmmm. - Sadie 

With all the beer events and postseason baseball partying, of course I had to stay caffeinated. Had really good pourovers at both Kaldi's Coffee and Parisi - a Mexico and Ethiopia, respectively. - Jason
