~ Jason's caffeinated trip through Omaha and a week in the life for Sadie in FoCo ~ I've heard a lot about the new Archetype Coffee, but was even more impressed once I got to watch everything from roast to coffee prep to their customer interactions. I grabbed some coffee to take back and brew, and that has been just as good. - Jason Spring weather and porch hangs with the neighbors have highlighted evenings as of late - New Belgium brews and people watching across the street at the park are ingredients to winding down. - Sadie Didn't make it to one of DRAFT Mag's Top 100 beer bars based in Omaha this time, but stopped at Beertopia before leaving town for a few local beers to take back. Had a chance to dive into Zipline and Lucky Bucket after the trip. - Jason My trusty Tina Fey mug fuels me through many a harried morning, and this week it supplied liquid energy from Thou Mayest, Augie's Coffee Roasters, Dragonfly Coffee Roasters and Post Coffee Co. - Sadie From the espresso machine to their Kyoto tower I had tasty drinks - hot and cold drink at the new Beansmith location. A Gibraltar and cold brew from the Kyoto and good service during my stop. - Jason The "Wine of the Week" at Wilbur's often makes it to my Netflix parties (by which I mean sweatpants and my dog), and this week's dinner accompaniment was a Ringside Vineyards 2012 Merlot. - Sadie Aromas really started the Omaha specialty coffee shop movement, in my opinion, and I've been going there since 2011. Now they are roasting their own beans, and I had a nice cup of their Kenya brewed in the Clever at their Benson shop. - Jason Rituals around the beverages we drink play a big part in our connection to them and the people who made them, and my afternoon cappuccinos at Harbinger Coffee provide a cozy backdrop to answering emails. - Sadie My favorite food and drink combo for the week was at Culprit in Omaha. I had a brew of Broadway's Colombia with the best beignets I've had in a long time. - Jason ~ Join the Conversation ~ Choice City Butcher and Deli is a fantastic place for a late lunch and a beer (or two), and their history of award-winning, ever changing beer selection never disappoints. The new Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA from O'Dell didn't disappoint, either. - Sadie
