~ From Colorado Springs to Fort Collins and everywhere in between, Sadie sipped her way through the Front Range this week while Jason explored a new KC cafe and drank some great spirits. ~ An impromptu stop at Crema in Denver afforded an appetizing start to the morning with a cappuccino and hipster vibes. - Sadie I'm sure I enjoyed a few of our Mother's Day stops as much as my wife did. One of those was lunch and cocktails at The Farmhouse in the River Market. The Bloody Mary was my fav. - Jason A chilly afternoon was pleasantly spent at Bean Cycle with a pot of Earl Grey tea and the hum of a happy cafe. - Sadie Not relevant at all for Cinco de Mayo, but I love rye whiskey. Enjoyed a pour of Dark Horse Distillery's Reunion Rye from the home bar. - Jason After picking up my sister at the airport, we headed to Boulder for coffee at Boxcar and treats from Piece, Love and Chocolate. - Sadie I didn't make it out for coffee much, but had a very nice latte and chat about sea creatures with the baristas at PT's Coffee in the Crossroads. - Jason Home bar brewing took it to another level this week with fresh-off-the-roaster selections from Conscious Coffees. Ethiopian, Colombian and a exceptional Congo made for several delicious mornings. - Sadie This was the opening weekend at Brookside's Heirloom Bakery and the lines reminded me of my time living in Brooklyn. Well worth the wait and topped off with Thou Mayest coffee to go with our baked goods. - Jason A weekend in Colorado Springs was highlighted by a cappuccino and chats with the crew at The Principal's Office at Ivy Wild. Delicious! - Sadie I'm so addicted to these soda and beer floats. The two I made this week were up there as favorites. I mixed 4 Hands Brewing's War Hammer with a lemon sorbet bringing out even more citrus notes. The other one was putting my new Kyoto brewer to use with a brew of ReAnimator Burundi over vanilla ice cream. - Jason ~ Join the Conversation ~
