~ Sadie soaked up end of summer vibes in Fort Collins, and Jason prepped for Caffeine Crawl KC. ~ Autumn-feelin' weather was a welcome surprise last week, and I celebrated by pulling on my boots and walking to Nuance for a french style hot chocolate and a 'Theobrew' - roasted cacao beans, ground and brewed via french press - a chocolatey beverage reminiscent of coffee and truly delightful. - Sadie Getting prepped for the next Kansas City Caffeine Crawl, and made several rounds last week. This is such a great coffee city. Had Flying Monkey espresso at PT's, an affogato at Foo's, a Guatemala brew at Post, and Ethiopian at Parisi and a brew from Kuma at Quay. - Jason We've done an event with Darkhorse Distillery, and it was good to stop by and catch up on winter plans to collab. A must visit distillery and event space in KC, if you haven't visited yet. - Jason New coffee shops are in season in Fort Collins, and I've been soaking it up by "mobile office" hopping across town - Bindle Coffee and Flat Hat Coffee are both serving up mugs of goodness and community vibes. - Sadie I brought back several bottles that I can't get here, and one was Mile High Spirits Fireside Whiskey. It was suggested from the retailer, and I've read good things about this whiskey. A nice addition to our home bar, and I loved my first pour. - Jason One of my favorites, El Monte's ladies night make Thursdays better - 'The Esteban' played a refreshing ode to the end of summer with gin, mint and fresh lime. - Sadie Like I said, I brought back a few bottles from Colorado. How could you drive there and not pick up beer if you have good taste in drinks? Two of the ones I cracked into on my return were Funkwerks Saison, and Off Color's Farmhouse Ale. See a pattern there? Off Color is actually based out of Chicago for those keeping track at home. - Jason Colorado Cab from Plum Creek Winery graced an evening of emails, thank you notes and Netflix. - Sadie I still made time for brews at the home office even with all my coffee shop hopping. Working on two tasty Central American coffees, an El Salvador from Switchback Roasters, and a Costa Rica from Novo Coffee. - Jason ~ Join the Conversation ~
