~ The team celebrated summer vibes and the holiday weekend in three different states and a variety of glassware (beer cans). ~ Bloodies on the Boulevard is how I have started many, many, many 4th of July holidays. The annual J.E. George Boulevard Parade has been a tradition in Omaha for more than 50 years. Spending it with family and friends was a great way to kick off the summertime holiday and the traditional Bloody Mary is the drink of choice by many! After the parade everyone retires to a backyard for some grilling and chilling with their friends and families. I continued the celebration with Colorado's New Belgium Skinny Dip Ale; perfectly paired with a grilled hot dog. - Michael I have a few travel traditions when I'm on I-70 heading to a work event. One is a stop at PT's Coffee in Topeka, and the other is a stop at Kaldi's Coffee in Columbia. Coming back from the holiday weekend I had to make a stop for a cup of Rwanda off the Trifecta. - Jason The holiday weekend was a perfect time to gather friends from near and far for an impromptu dinner party. Starting the night off with a Pinot Noir Rose from Oregon's A to Z Wineworks made sense. Light, crisp and refreshingly perfect to kick off a night of fun while in Omaha. - Michael Fort Collins does burritos as well as it does beer, and Illegal Pete's is where it's at for both - pre 4th celebration took place on the roof top patio with a Horse and Dragon Almost Summer Ale. - Sadie Generally only two times a year I have spotty wifi, and get a bit off the grid. Last weekend was one of them, but I had my little fam with me and Boulevard's new summer can series. Loving that Radler on a humid day. - Jason Sitting on the dock with our family at the lake was how we spent our 4th of July afternoon. Friends, the fired up grill and a light, refreshing Orange Shandy from Wisconsin's Leinekugel! A perfect day! - Michael 4th of July with friends = grilled brats (veggies for me ;), home made snacks and plenty of local brews to wash it down - Odell, Epic, Renegade and Uinta brews graced beer koozies and patio tables. - Sadie Always fun to taste newer beverage products. Enjoyed opening up Prana's fresh chai and doing a few steeps - hot and cold. And it was fresh! The spices and tea are wet, and a very cool approach to this tradition. Enjoyed my cups. - Jason With family in town and a craving for queso, El Monte fit the bill (as always) - collaboration brews from Black Bottle Brewery (Honey Hibiscus Saison) and Lone Tree Brewing (Strawberry Blonde Ale) were the perfect compliments. - Sadie Made stops of two Omaha Caffeine Crawl favorites for coffee while in town: Aroma's / Bliss on the way in to town and Beansmith on the way out. Solid options for the coffee lover! - Michael ~ Join the Conversation ~
