~ Cappuccinos at KC establishments and new cocktails at Fort Collins bars - this week was tasty. ~ A long overdue visit to Elliot's Martini Bar didn't disappoint! A classic martini & the "Winnie the Pooh is Drunk" (pictured above, and with a name like that, how could I not order it) - bourbon, honey and lemon - were both delightful. - Sadie Hit up the seasoned veteran and the new kid on the block in KC Midtown last week. Broadway always delivers one of the best cappuccinos and that was the case with my order, and I’m real impressed with Ruby Jean’s new juicery spot right across the street. Props to Chris Goode on his new venture. - Jason The Downtown Artery is a modern all-day mobile office, with Four Barrel coffee for mornings and wine and beer for afternoons (or vice versa, depending on the day ;) - a Twisted Pine Brewing Raspberry Rising fueled emails and Caffeine Crawl planning. - Sadie Doing more KC fall Caffeine Crawl prep with a visit to Blackdog Coffeehouse for a latte, and checking out the Ibis Bakery and Blackdog walk-through set up. Looks great! - Jason A quick trip to Colorado Springs to see the latest great thing from Funky Little Theater Co. meant stops at two of my faves - a Switchback Coffee Roasters pourover from Fifty Fifty Coffeehouse & an iced Two Leaves and A Bud tea at Peak Place Coffeehouse. - Sadie Sud sippin’ through KC’s Waldo neighborhood over the weekend with a Boulevard Bob's '47 Oktoberfest at Governor Stumpy’s, and rich pour of Old Rasputin at Waldo Pizza. - Jason I got inspired by the recent Imbibe issue and due to time have been getting into simpler cocktails more. Made the Canadian Whiskey Cocktail feature in the pub, and used Forty Creek whiskey. A soothing nightcap libation. - Jason Been loving pours of both of these beauties from the home bar this week - Rieger's Kansas City Whiskey and Mile High Spirits Fireside Bourbon. - Sadie Drinking a little Colorado trip beer a week at a time. All in the name of research, of course. This is suppose to be the hottest (on the tongue) beer out there, and I can’t argue that. I’m a Twisted Pine fan, and the Ghost Face Killah is fun to try. A good craft beer party addition. Good luck drinking two. Firahh! - Jason More home bar goodness - Spring 44 Mountain Gin & Tonic. Perfect weeknight wind down over dinner with friends. - Sadie ~ Join the Conversation ~
