~ Caffeine Crawl, Coffee Fest, Portland Cocktail Week ~ libations flowed freely in the Rose City this week, & our team drank it up. ~ *Header photo taken at The Secret Society* I rolled into Portland, did a TV spot, then got situated in the house, and had to go explore for my palate. Tacos and a Mezcal margarita with Monte Alban at The Waypost were in order, and did the job. Agave worm not included. - Jason Partnering with Rogue as a Caffeine Crawl sponsor and the first ever brewery stop on a Crawl? We said yes, please, and the perks included a private brewery tour (complete with slide!), Cold Brew IPAs, awesome swag and new friends. - Sadie We loved our little company AirBnB, but worked so much we didn't get to stay there except to sleep and get ready. Except for the cracker and cheese snacks followed by a bottle of 2013 Pinot Noir from the groundbreaking winery The Eyrie Vineyards. - The Team Team fuel up at Kern's Kitchen included brews from Ecliptic Brewing, Occidental Brewing and Double Mountain Brewing, plus some killer breakfast fried rice. - The Team We're putting Smallwares on our must visit stop in Portland after the dinner we had Thursday night. When it came to drinks, the Grape Drink (muddled grapes, pisco, vermouth) for Cocktail Week was the group favorite. - The Team After dinner cocktails at The Rookery Bar in Raven and Rose were the perfect highlight to an evening out on the town. Loved 'The Alchemist' - Morewood's Usquebaugh (check it out, it's awesome!), saffron, cinnamon tincture, & lemon. - Sadie Hamlet provided a stylish setting and great drinks on our cocktail bar tour around the city Friday night - I went with the 'Warrior Princess' - Ransom Old Tom Gin, Zwack Unicum, Rothman and Winter Apricot Liqueur and Regan's No 6. Orange Bitters. - Sadie More brews were had at Hop Haven for a Royals watch party in Portland. Go figure. Pours of Fat Head's Juicy Fruit IPA and a Gigantic IPA. My fairwell Portland meal was a stacked Tilt burger paired with an Upright Saison. - Jason After some much needed downtime following two days of nothing but traveling and talking to people, oh, and drinking, I needed to sit at a bar by myself. I came across the new Labrewatory (no relation) and an actual good contact with their team while refueling on a Hale's Ales Kolsch. - Jason You had me at 'whiskey,' but 1500 bottles in a dimly lit brick sitting room with plaid-clad, leather apron wearing bartenders and library ladders? Love at first whiff. Next time your in Portland, arrive early to avoid the lines (walk in only for non-members) at the Multnomah Whiskey Library, and order the Vieux Carre - James Pepper Rye, Pierre Ferrand 1840, 'library blend," Benedictine & bitters. - Sadie Caffeine Crawl Portland Recap Coming Soon - Stay Tuned! ~ Join the Conversation ~
