Top Ten Tuesday ~ Wine, Bourbon, Floats & More Wine

~ We drank just enough wine to send April out on a good note, and welcome May with raised glasses. (We drank some other great stuff, too.) ~ 

Wine in mason jars is exactly what some afternoons need, & Trio Wine Company's Zinsane 2012 Zinfandel from Cellar Rat in KC was just the thing. - Sadie 

Nice to walk to good beverage spots. The Underdog Wine shop isn't far away, and I always walk away with something new. Had a few samples of Andrew Will Winery with my wife, but didn't react fast enough before they sold out. Went home with a bottle of La Bastide Blanche Bandol Longue Garde though. - Jason

Finishing a crazy weekend with a house made creation of 1792 Bourbon, San Pellegrino Limonata & Glossops No. 4 Hibiscus Ginger Syrup! - Michael 

"Where God drinks coffee" might be debatable, but weekly cuppings at Harbinger wouldn't be a stretch. Kenya and Congo from Blueprint Coffee and Ethiopia from Sweet Bloom graced the table this Sunday. - Sadie 

After two back-to-back Caffeine Crawls I needed a chill Monday. I worked part of the afternoon with my feet propped up with the laptop and a small pour of Highland Park Scotch. - Jason

Discovering The Cellar in Fort Collins was a delicious highlight this week - my recent, though niave, love affair with wine has found a new flame, and I savored my first bottle of Mauro Molino Dimartina with the happy thought of many wine tastings to come. - Sadie 

Coffee in Kansas City will never let you down. I made trips to One More Cup, Broadway, Crows and Parisi this week for everything from a cup of Ethiopian from Blip Roasters to a macchiato at Broadway's roasting shop. - Jason

If you've been following along you know I've been on a float kick lately. This week I had to test out another root beer, Sioux City, and a Blonde Ale from Batcreek Brewery. Not really test, more like get prepped for summer. - Jason

Great live music from local band Dijon Vagabond was accompanied by brews at Equinox Brewing on Friday night with friends. - Sadie 

A mix of art, friends (Michael and his fam) and good beers made my Friday wind down perfect. Picked two good ones - New Belgium Snapshot and Boulevard Tank 7. Plus, beer always tastes better when friends buy it. - Jason
