~ Patio beers, a 20's throwback night & local cafe hangs. ~ Gotta love your friends that enjoy their bourbon. The friends we went to see Saturday night has an ever changing collection of American whiskeys. Had a little pour of Eagle Rare 17, and the first time I got to try the Wood Hat Spirits Double Wood out of Missouri. - Jason Oskar Blues graced several patio nights this week - cool Colorado evening air & good things on the grill and great people. Love it. - Sadie This week I was brewing the rest of our PT’s Sidama Guji mostly on the Clever, but also liked it a lot as an Aeropress, too. - Jason Mid-week wind down on the patio at La Luz was highlighted by the first New Belgium Pumpkick of the season. ~ Sadie Michael hooked it up, but too bad the Chiefs didn’t. We kicked off the home opener together, but the Chiefs just fell apart. Michael brought beers back from Wisconsin, like New Glarus, plus we had a few locals in Boulevard. - Jason Home bar whiskey of choice this week was small batch Bulleit Rye, and it's been a great accompaniment to late night compositions at the keyboard and a few jam sessions with friends. - Sadie Celebrated with Michael and his family Friday night with a bottle of Black Mesa’s Alexander Supertramp Doppelbock. Also, had to try the Bittermilk smoked honey whiskey sour Michael just got, and mixed that with Mile High’s Fireside Colorado Whiskey. - Jason The crew kicked off Great Gatsby night at Social with swing dancing beforehand, and rolled in dressed the part for martinis, negronis and a grand old time! - Sadie I made a batched cocktail and bottled it for a Saturday night party. I used two different rums, Rogue Spirits Dark Rum and Appleton Special, plus Domaine de Canton, Velvet Falernum, fresh grapefruit and lemon, club soda and simple syrup. Lightly carbonated in the bottle and it turned out great. - Jason ~ Join the Conversation ~
