~ From Colorado Springs to Fort Collins and everywhere in between, Sadie sipped her way through the Front Range this week while Jason explored a new KC cafe and drank some great spirits. ~
~ We drank just enough wine to send April out on a good note, and welcome May with raised glasses. (We drank some other great stuff, too.) ~
~ After last week's exploration into Aperitifs and a week of excellent KC food and beverage, we headed back to The Rieger for a nightcap. ~
~ Sadie's extended trip back to KCMO started on a high note with team meets, great beer, and Caffeine Crawl KC ~
~ We asked 6 inspiring guys from the world of artisan beverages the same 2 questions,
and they answered. ~ A float, or ice cream soda, consists of ice cream in either a soft drink or in a mixture of flavored syrup and carbonated water. According to Wikipedia, "The ice cream soda was invented by Robert McCay Green in Philadelphia, PA, in 1874 during the sesquicentennial celebration. The traditional story is that, on a particularly hot day, Mr. Green ran out of cold ice for the flavored sodas he was selling and used vanilla ice cream from a neighboring vendor, thus inventing a new drink.
~ Cocktails to Radlers, beer and chocolate to wine, coffee to poptarts - we spanned the gamut of beverages and their accompaniments in both states this week. ~
~ While Sadie drank beer from across the state for Colorado Craft Beer Week, Jason and Michael wined and dined in Kansas City. ~
